Low Vision Certification & Recertification

Dear Doctor,

On behalf of the Michigan Optometric Association (MOA) Low Vision Committee, I would like to thank you for taking an interest in the Low Vision Certification process, which is a giant step towards increasing and/or demonstrating your knowledge and expertise in the arena of low vision rehabilitation!

Low Vision Certification is a process of self-education. Committee members are available to assist you in each phase of the process, including the provision of clinical opportunities.

Throughout the certification process, you are welcome to attend meetings of the Low Vision Committee. At your request, announcements of meeting times and locations will be provided to you.

Please see the menu on the right for information on the Low Vision Certification process and the application to become Low Vision Certified. I also encourage you to join the American Optometric Association Vision Rehabilitation Advocacy Network by clicking here.

We are excited to hear from you and assist you in any way as you embark on this journey to demonstrate your expertise in caring for individuals with vision impairment. Please feel free to reach out to me via email at rdeol1@hfhs.org if you have any questions or concerns regarding MOA Low Vision Certification.
